Advanced Emergency Simulation Technology Showcase at the 2025 Annual Conference of the Taiwan Society of Emergency Medicine

30 June 2025

At the 2025 Annual Conference of the Taiwan Society of Emergency Medicine, we had the opportunity to connect with emergency care professionals and showcase key solutions that support realistic, hands-on training in trauma and critical care.

At our booth, we presented four advanced simulation technologies designed to enhance clinical skills in emergency response scenarios. These included the Hemorrhage X3 with Trauma Leg, Trauma HAL® S3040.100, the SONIMAGE MX1 with Ultrasound-Guided Pericardiocentesis Trainer, and the REALITi 360 simulation ecosystem.

The Hemorrhage X3 with Trauma Leg offers a realistic platform for practicing bleeding control techniques such as wound packing, pressure application, and tourniquet placement. The silicone leg features laceration and gunshot wounds with active bleeding, allowing trainees to experience the urgency and complexity of managing massive hemorrhage. When connected to the Hemorrhage X3 pump, the system can simulate pressure-responsive blood flow, making training scenarios even more dynamic.

The Trauma HAL® S3040.100 is a rugged, full-body trauma simulator designed for high-intensity training in field, transport, and in-hospital settings. It features anatomically accurate trauma limbs with bleeding wounds that respond to pressure and tourniquets, along with advanced airway, breathing, and circulation capabilities. HAL supports the use of real medical equipment and includes wireless, tetherless control, enabling realistic training anywhere—from the scene of injury to patient handoff.

The SONIMAGE MX1, paired with the Ultrasound-Guided Pericardiocentesis Trainer, allows clinicians to safely practice a high-risk, life-saving procedure in a controlled setting. The compact ultrasound unit delivers crystal-clear imaging with T2HI and Dual Sonic technology, while the trainer offers lifelike resistance and anatomical accuracy. This setup helps improve clinician confidence and technique in ultrasound-guided interventions.

The REALITi 360 system transforms any space into a mobile simulation center. It replicates real patient monitors and defibrillators from brands like Zoll, Corpuls, and Philips, allowing trainees to interact with familiar interfaces. Instructors can create scenarios, track performance, and provide immediate feedback through integrated debriefing tools. With options for CPR feedback and video recording, REALITi 360 enhances the quality and realism of advanced life support training.

We thank all the professionals who visited our booth and shared their insights. We remain committed to supporting emergency medical education in Taiwan with simulation technologies that prepare teams for real-world clinical challenges.
